Getting a Smile Makeover Right

The Smile Makeover Process
To kickstart the process, we spend some time with you in a free, initial assessment.
We discuss your goals and treatments available and ask you about your smile with the magic wand question: “if I give you a magic wand, what would your smile look like?”
Once the magic wand question is covered, we do a bit of dental magic, taking scans of your teeth and merging them with digital photographs to design your new smile.
The next step is to make a 3D print of your new smile to temporarily fit over the top of your present teeth. This means that without doing any damage to your teeth you get to preview the new smile and see how it makes you feel. You can also show your family and friends and get their feedback.
This gives you chance to get used to your new smile, and decide if you want to make any alterations to the colour, size, or shape. Then and only then, when you’re 100% happy and confident with your new smile, we’re good to go with the treatment.
The Treatment
Generally at Dovetail, we begin the smile makeover treatment with tooth whitening and any correction to the gumline that may be needed. We then carry out the treatment itself, and our personal buddy guides you through what it is we are doing so you’re kept fully in the loop throughout the process.
For that extra peace of mind and to be 100% sure that you absolutely love the design of your new smile, we always to make some prototype teeth for you to wear for a few weeks. This is normally done after we’ve prepared the teeth for veneers, crowns, or implants, and it lets you wear the new smile and get used to it.
The Final Stage – Smile Confidently!
Once we’re done with the treatment, it’s time to enjoy your new smile. You can regain your confidence with a naturally beautiful smile, safe in the knowledge that it will suit you and your personality.
